March 2, 2024
Ridgefield LGBTQ+ Workshop

We are excited to announce a new Ridgefield LGBTQ+ Workshop for Youth, made possible through the generous contributions of our donors. The “Beyond Queer Stereotypes” workshop, designed exclusively by our Lighthouse team for teens, is a testament to the impact that your support has on our community.

This Ridgefield LGBTQ+ Workshop Will Be A Constructive Forum for Learning

On the evening of March 14th, the Ridgefield Teen Barn will become a hub of creativity and support. From 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, local LGBTQ+ teens will gather for a workshop that will be enlightening and enjoyable.

The Workshop Experience

The Ridgefield LGBTQ+ Workshop will provide a platform for young individuals to engage with media portrayals of LGBTQ+ characters. It encourages them to share their own experiences and to actively participate in creating more diverse and authentic representations. Through this, they learn the power of narrative and the importance of inclusivity.

Guidance by an Expert

Rachel Simon of the Triangle Community Center, renowned for her advocacy and dedication to LGBTQ+ initiatives, will facilitate the workshop. Her expertise will guide the participants through a meaningful exploration of media stereotypes and the creation of their unique characters.
