Our Impact

Kids In Crisis has been helping kids since 1978.  Here is what a few kids said was the best part of their stays at the SafeHaven for Kids shelter program:

“I learned lots of ways to cope”

Being able to be tested by others and keeping myself together. And being able to bond with my peers”

“Getting time away from my mom to work on our relationship and stabilize my drug use”

Translation: “I have gotten better in school and I have had better communication with my parents and I have learned from my problems and by being here, they’ve taught me how to fix my problems (skills).” (response translated from Spanish)
