Lighthouse is a peer-to-peer social support program for students who experience marginalization or discrimination based on who they are.  Our groups are relaxed and social in nature. We build community through art, games, and discussion. No bullying is ever allowed, and everyone is given a chance to be heard in a safe and casual setting. Youth from any town are welcome at any group or special event. Check out kic_lighthouse on Instagram or Facebook.com/KICLighthouse for up-to-date information.

Many of the youth served in Lighthouse have experienced family rejection, bullying, or isolation due to their identity. Our volunteers offer a welcoming, safe space. Lighthouse empowers students who experience marginalization or discrimination based on who they are to clarify issues, gain skills and resiliency, and envision and seek healthy, productive, and fulfilling adult lives.

Teens can drop in to share life experiences and feelings, socialize, snack, play games,
and share common bonds in Lighthouse’s confidential, non-threatening environment. Lighthouse hosts guest speakers, trips, barbecues, parties, and movie nights.
