Stamford KIC IT Triathlon & Kids Triathlon

The roads of Stamford heated up on Sunday, June 30 – and it wasn’t only from the warm temperatures! A sold-out field of triathletes took to the shore and streets for the sixth annual Stamford KIC IT Triathlon. Led by the repeat winning performance of Chris Thomas and an exciting finish by 18-year-old Emma Langley, triathletes blazed their way through the challenging Olympic-distance race. After the race, athletes, families, and members of the community enjoyed a fun-filled Family Festival in Columbus Park.

The third annual Stamford KIC IT Kids Triathlon also added to the family-focused weekend, with children ages 6-13 competing in an expanded three age-specific categories the day before on Saturday, June 29. This is the second year that the event has sold out!

Three hundred volunteers and dozens of sponsors supported the athletes as they raced to raise money for Kids in Crisis.
