The Rock The Dock 2024 Gala, hosted by Kids In Crisis, was a significant milestone for our organization. This gathering in Fairfield County epitomized our 45-year dedication to uplifting at-risk youth in Connecticut. We want to take just a moment to celebrate the success of the Rock The Dock 2024 Gala, which raised over $170,000. This was a testament to the strong support of our donors and partners, who contributed immensely not just at this event but throughout the year.

The Importance of the Rock The Dock 2024 Gala Success

As municipal budget cutbacks cast a shadow over our TeenTalk programs in various towns, events like our Rock The Dock Gala and our upcoming Kids Challenge Golf Tournament become even more important. The generosity of our supporters ensures that the Kids In Crisis light of hope will continue to burn bright for those in need for the next 45 years.

Senator Richard Blumenthal was one of the first speakers. His passionate speech underscored the crucial role of Kids In Crisis in providing sanctuary and support for Connecticut’s most vulnerable children. In a touching acknowledgment, Senator Blumenthal presented citations to our volunteer Gala Committee Chairs, Amber Boissonneault and Sean McMurtry, symbolizing our gratitude to all Kids In Crisis volunteers who tirelessly serve children around the clock.

National Spotlight on Our Mission

We also want to thank our emcees, Jeff Glor from CBS Saturday Morning and Michael Kay, the Yankees play-by-play commentator and host of The Michael Kay Show. They brought so much energy and warmth to the evening. The auction, led by Denis LaPolice, was a huge success. And we can’t forget the fantastic performance by The Yacht Lobsters, New York’s premier yacht rock band, who ended the night on such a high note!

Special mention must be made of the attention garnered through Jeff Glor’s segment about Kids In Crisis on CBS Saturday Morning. This national exposure truly amplified our reach, resulting in an increase of calls to our 24-Hour Helpline and the addition of new donors inspired to join our cause and bolstering the Rock The Dock 2024 Gala Success even after Friday night’s festivities.
