At A Glance: Empowering LGBTQ+ Teens: Lighthouse and Ridgefield CT Pride Unite! We’re super excited to share that the Lighthouse program, part of Kids In Crisis’s amazing work, is teaming up with Ridgefield CT Pride. We’re starting a brand-new group in Ridgefield, CT, for LGBTQ+ teens and their friends. This is all about giving our teens a welcoming place to hang out, be themselves, and make new friends.

First Meet-Up: Thursday, January 11th at Ridgefield Teen Barn

Mark your calendars! Our first get-together is on January 11th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ridgefield Teen Barn. We’re planning to meet every second Thursday of the month. It’s free, and we’ll have dinner and snacks too! If you’re in grades 6 to 12 and want to join or support LGBTQ+ friends, come on over. No need to RSVP; just show up!

What’s Lighthouse All About?

Lighthouse isn’t just any group. It’s a fun, laid-back place where you can be you. We do fun stuff like art and games and talk about things that matter to us. It’s all about feeling safe, accepted, and having a blast. And the best part? It’s all about supporting each other; no bullying is allowed.

Why This Matters

Lighthouse has been helping LGBTQ+ teens in southern Fairfield County for years. Now, with Ridgefield CT Pride, we’re reaching even more teens. We’re talking about places like Danbury, Bethel, and lots more. Kids In Crisis has always been there for families, providing all sorts of help, including counseling and emergency shelter. And now, we’re bringing Lighthouse to Ridgefield.

Here’s Where You Come In

We’re doing something important here and need your help to keep it going. Your support means we can keep offering these fantastic programs for free. It means every LGBTQ+ teen and their allies have a place where they feel welcomed and safe and can just be themselves.

Donate and Make a Difference

By donating to Kids In Crisis and supporting Lighthouse, you’re not just giving money; you’re changing lives. You’re giving teens a place to go where they feel loved and accepted. So, please consider donating. Every little bit helps us make a big difference in these kids’ lives.
