On\u00a0<\/span>Sunday, April 19, 2026<\/span><\/b>, the community is invited to come together for the\u00a0<\/span>4th annual Hope Day<\/span><\/b>, a free, family-friendly event dedicated to mental health awareness. From\u00a0<\/span>1:00 PM to 3:00 PM<\/span><\/b>\u00a0at\u00a0<\/span>YMCA Greenwich, 50 E Putnam Ave<\/span><\/b>, Hope Day will include live performances, wellness activities, arts and crafts, food, raffles, and more. Join for a celebration to help smash the stigma around mental health.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Organized in partnership with\u00a0<\/span>The Yellow Tulip Project<\/span><\/b>, Hope Day brings the community together at the start of spring to celebrate the blooming of the\u00a0<\/span>Hope Gardens<\/span><\/b>, planted last fall as symbols of resilience and mental health awareness. The Yellow Tulip Project\u2019s mission centers on smashing the stigma surrounding mental illness and building community through hope.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hope Day offers a welcoming space where conversations about mental health can happen during moments of creativity, learning, and togetherness.\u00a0It will be not only an afternoon to celebrate hope, but also to connect residents with resources, reduce shame around mental health challenges, and remind every attendee that support is within reach.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Greenwich Together is the local prevention council whose mission is to mobilize youth, parents, and community partners to prevent substance misuse, promote behavioral and mental health, and strengthen healthy choices through positive youth, family, and community development. Kids In Crisis builds healthy communities where children and families thrive through prevention, counseling, and crisis services available 24 hours every day, including its free, confidential 24\/7 Helpline.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“This event is about coming together as a community to support one another and to remind everyone that hope is real, help is available, and no one is alone in their struggles,” said Corina Restrepo, Greenwich Together.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Join us in welcoming the first signs of spring with an afternoon of hope for children, families, and\u00a0youth\u00a0mental health.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
