Held on November 13 at the HMTX campus in Norwalk, the morning focused on a theme that resonates with every parent, educator, and employer today: <strong data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1191\">how social media is shaping kids\u2019 lives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1480\">This annual gathering is designed not just as a networking event, but as a cornerstone of <strong data-start=\"1324\" data-end=\"1365\">corporate social responsibility (CSR), <\/strong>bringing together businesses that believe in strengthening the communities in which their employees live and work.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1485\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1558\"><strong data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1558\">Teens and Counselors Lead a Real Conversation About Social Media<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1560\" data-end=\"1838\">One of the most powerful aspects of this year\u2019s breakfast was hearing directly from the experts: the <strong data-start=\"1661\" data-end=\"1699\">Kids In Crisis TeenTalk counselors<\/strong> who support students every day, and the <strong data-start=\"1740\" data-end=\"1760\">teens themselves<\/strong>, who shared honest reflections about the digital pressures they face.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"2003\">TeenTalk counselors <strong data-start=\"1860\" data-end=\"1883\">Edward Milton, LMSW<\/strong>, from Norwalk High School, and <strong data-start=\"1915\" data-end=\"1938\">Chitra Suresh, LMSW<\/strong>, from Brien McMahon High School, led a compelling discussion on:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2005\" data-end=\"2236\">\n<li data-start=\"2005\" data-end=\"2057\">\n<p data-start=\"2007\" data-end=\"2057\">The growing mental health impact of social media<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2123\">\n<p data-start=\"2060\" data-end=\"2123\">Challenges teens face balancing online and offline identities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2124\" data-end=\"2166\">\n<p data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2166\">Warning signs adults should understand<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2167\" data-end=\"2236\">\n<p data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2236\">How schools and families can work together to protect kids online<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2238\" data-end=\"2399\">Their insights offered a window into what students are truly experiencing, and how important in-school mental health support is for early intervention.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2401\" data-end=\"2404\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"2406\" data-end=\"2459\"><strong data-start=\"2409\" data-end=\"2459\">Why Corporate Partners Make All the Difference<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2461\" data-end=\"2669\">Kids In Crisis has served children and families for nearly 50 years, but <strong data-start=\"2534\" data-end=\"2566\">we do not do this work alone<\/strong>.
