Back to Basics- Hoedown 2009
Cowboy hats, plaid shirts, gingham and of course cowboy BOOTS! This year, Kids in Crisis brought Hoedown back to the good ol’ days when Hoedown went “Back to Basics.” It was a boot-stomping, dosey-do-ing good time that ended with a lesson in line dancing by professional dancers. New pictures from the event show the fun everyone had! Monies raised by the annual benefit will help fund the programs and services provided by Kids in Crisis. For information on how you can be a part of the next Hoedown, whether it is helping to plan the event or to volunteer, contact us at: 203-622-6556. [ more ]

Stamford KIC It Triathlon!
The first-ever Stamford KIC IT Triathlon took to the beach and the streets shortly after sunrise on Sunday, June 29. More than 430 athletes completed a demanding course throughout the city streets and back hills of Stamford. Overwhelmingly, the athletes reported that the event was a true delight – well organized, interesting, challenging and full of helpful, dedicated volunteers. It was a stunning beginning to what will be a signature event for Kids in Crisis for years to come.
Individual and corporate support of the Triathlon helped us to raise more than $170,000, monies that will enable Kids in Crisis to continue to protect children of all ages. These monies will help us fund the unique therapeutic, medical, educational and residential programs provided by Kids in Crisis to children and their families – some 81,000 since 1978... [ more ]
