2010 Stamford KIC IT Triathlon
Please hold the date of June 27, 2010 for the 3rd Stamford KIC IT Triathlon. The Olympic race will close out at 500 athletes (Triathletes and Relay Teams). Participants will brave the Long Island Sound for a .9-mile swim, quickly mount their bikes for a 24-mile ride through North Stamford, and then will run through the streets of downtown to complete the 6-mile run. Ocean House Grand Opening
Celebrate the grand opening of one of New England’s most exquisite seaside resorts, Ocean House (One Bluff Avenue, Watch Hill, Rhode Island) on June 9, 2010, to benefit Kids in Crisis. “Show Your Cause,” the cornerstone of the Ocean House debut celebration, is a Designer Show House fundraising event that will afford guests the opportunity to take an exclusive tour of five private condominium residences, each decorated by one of the Northeast’s finest interior designers. Enjoy a light luncheon or afternoon tea and visit a trunk show featuring artists and designers from the local area.
Tickets to the event are $75.00 and checks should be made out to “Kids in Crisis”. 100% of the ticket price is tax deductible. Checks must be sent to Ocean House prior to the event in order to confirm reservations, after which Ocean House will send the checks to Kids in Crisis. Ocean House will issue invitations at the end of April.

Back to Basics- Hoedown 2009
Cowboy hats, plaid shirts, gingham and of course cowboy BOOTS! This year, Kids in Crisis brought Hoedown back to the good ol’ days when Hoedown went “Back to Basics.” It was a boot-stomping, dosey-do-ing good time that ended with a lesson in line dancing by professional dancers. New pictures from the event show the fun everyone had! Monies raised by the annual benefit will help fund the programs and services provided by Kids in Crisis. For information on how you can be a part of the next Hoedown, whether it is helping to plan the event or to volunteer, contact us at: 203-622-6556. [ more ]
