Corporate Support back to previous page

Corporate partnerships provide Kids in Crisis with vital support in protecting infants, children and teens from abuse and family crisis. Many local corporations, businesses and other organizations make a real difference for Kids in Crisis with gifts of funds, time, goods and services.

Whatever the size of your company, Kids in Crisis will work with your organization to make a positive and socially responsible contribution to our mission, and will help you strengthen relations with your customers and employees.

Since its founding in 1978, Kids in Crisis has developed valuable partnerships with numerous corporations through corporate giving, foundation giving, staff fundraising, cause related marketing, community support, matching gifts, special events and volunteer efforts. Corporate contributions support our shelter care and outreach services, as well as our 24-hour telephone Helpline, the TLC Health Center, educational services, Aftercare, and all prevention programs and community services. A Corporation can choose to underwrite one of our programs or support our SafeHaven for Kids by contributing to our TeenHouse or Crisis Nursery.

Kids in Crisis is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service.  If you would like to learn more about how your corporation can play an important role in Kids in Crisis' efforts to protect infants, children and teens from abuse and family crisis, contact the Kids in Crisis Development office at 203-622-6556 or email us at amarom@kidsincrisis.org

Foundation Giving or, Grants to Special Initiatives, Programs and Projects
Many of our programs and services are made possible each year by the generous support of family, corporate, and community foundations.

Because more than half of the annual budget of Kids in Crisis is funded by private sources, foundation support is critical to the success of our programs. If your foundation would like to learn more about how to partner with Kids in Crisis, or is interested in making a contribution, please contact Mr. Alon Marom in the Development Office at 203-622-6556 or email amarom@kidsincrisis.org.

In-Kind Product Donations
Often times, corporations, organizations, and their employees wish to make substantial donations of toys, books, clothing, tickets, gift certificates and other in-kind gifts to our children in shelter or those served by our community services. We welcome these efforts and encourage interested businesses and groups to contact Jamie Dorman at (203) 622-6556 to discuss these opportunities further.

Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act
The Crisis Nursery is an approved program by the Department of Revenue Services as eligible for a tax credit under the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program.
This program grants an additional tax credit when donations are made to approved agencies. Businesses making donations to our Crisis Nursery are granted a 60% tax credit.
